UDP studio is an architecture and engineering studio based in Milan.
We operate in the field of design, architecture and construction management for residential, administrative and industrial building in Italy and abroad.
The study of light, materials and context are cornerstone to our design process. From design to construction, we believe in high quality architecture and in its capability to generate a dramatic impact on people living and working life.
PROJECTS
Majno 5 srl – Redevelopment of early century industrial building
Seregno – Italy; about 900 sqm
Expansion and redevelopment of a twentieth century industrial building into contemporary office and administrative spaces.
The project aimed to repurpose the space while removing all unnecessary stratifications added over the years. Concrete floor resemble the original flooring of old industrial building. Window frames were custom designed and hand-made. Concrete pillars and bridge crane metallic structure, were restored to testify the building industrial origin.
VF EMEA Headquarter – new multipurpose office building
Stabio – Switzerland; about 2900 sqm + outside
Expansion of the current VF EMEA headquarter campus in Switzerland with a new administrative and events building. Sustainability and flexibility are core on this project. For this, wood was chosen as the main construction material. Natural light filters through double-high windows that open up the space to the overarching mountain and dissipate the distance between inside and outside space.
Mazzucchelli 1849 spa – new industrial building
Castiglione Olona – Italy; about 10.000 sqm
Development of a new building in Mazzucchelli 1849 industrial compartment in Castiglione Olona. The building facades recall the typological details of the industrial compartment building. The inside look and feel is based on the study of natural light. Custom designed elements like double-high concrete walls, stairs step design, iron railing, make this building unique while generating a rational and highly functional working environment.
